Very durable—no warping, rotting, fading, or splintering. No finishing, staining, or regular work needed; only periodic washing to eliminate algae. Long lasting and most brands offer warranties.

More costly than most woods, and doesn’t have the natural warmth of wood. Not resistant to mold or mildew, especially in our wet climate. You cannot paint or stain it in order to change the colour.
