Vinyl Flooring

vinyl flooring

Far from the vinyl flooring that graced grandma’s house, vinyl has made huge technological strides. Higher-end “luxury vinyl” products mimic the look of hardwood or stone, but offer greater durability, cushioning, and soundproofing. High-tech printing produces virtually any colour or pattern on vinyl planks.

vinyl TIPS & INFO

Vinyl Flooring
Types

Available in three forms: vinyl plank, vinyl tile, and sheet vinyl. Luxury vinyl flooring gives you higher quality, higher performance (more durable, comfortable, long lasting) and a warranty.

Vinyl Flooring
Pros

Very durable, scratch-resistant and 100% waterproof; better than hardwood for high traffic areas. Softer and warmer under feet than natural products. Easy to clean and very affordable.

Vinyl Flooring
Cons

Cannot be refinished; can be damaged by sharp objects. Plank appearance is not as varied as authentic natural hardwood or stone, best variation seen in high-end products.

Flooring
Installation

Vinyl flooring consists of floating, click-together floor planks/tiles installed with an underlay and no nailing required. Requires baseboards around walls. Fast to install.
